A small bar with live bands and a long bar, tables and chairs along the long wall, and seats around the band stand. Very friendly mixed crowd. Lots of tourists. best on Fri or Saturday night (funk/blues band; Cold Sweat) Very crowded, best after 1:30.  Lots of fun!

Avalon - 47 W 20^th St @ 6^th Ave (is an experience.Originally the Limelight, a legendary club converted from an old church, it has again morphed and become very hip and cool. Straight crowd and very T-Friendly.
